North American Coalition of Business Schools (NACB)

About NACB
In 1984, the North American Coalition of Business Schools (NACB) was founded by a group of leading scholars from renowned business schools across the East and West Coasts of North America. Since then, NACB’s organizational structure, operation patterns, and formal name have evolved over time to better meet the changing needs of modern business educations.
However, what has remained constant is our unwavering commitment to advancing excellence in both academic scholarship and industry practice. Over the decades, NACB has continued to grow as a trusted platform that brings together professionals from academia and industry who share a common dedication to innovation, integrity, and the development of future collegiate business education.
Annual Conference
The NACB Annual Conference is a cornerstone event that brings together representatives from our member universities and industry partners to discuss organizational strategy, governance, and shared initiatives. It also serves as a valuable forum for networking, fostering academic–industry collaboration, and exploring the future of business education and practice.
This year’s conference will be held in Irvine, California, USA, from June 22 to 24. Registration for the 2025 conference has now closed. We are pleased to announce that next year’s conference will take place in Montréal, QC, Canada from June 17 to 19, 2026. Formal invitations and registration details will be released in early November this year.

Strategic Partnership with IAEBM
Since 2016, the North American Coalition of Business Schools (NACB) has maintained a strategic alliance with the Institute for Advancing Education in Business and Management (IAEBM). Through this partnership, we collaboratively share, develop, and optimize our governance frameworks, infrastructure, and institutional resources. This long-standing relationship—now spanning over a decade—has enabled both organizations to sharpen our focus on key priorities and achieve greater impact in advancing academic and industry excellence in business, economics, finance, and related fields.

One of the most notable outcomes of this collaboration is the jointly developed and endorsed Certificate in Economic and Financial Studies (CEFS)—a highly regarded and successful program tailored for early-career scholars and aspiring leaders in business. Another successful initiative is the Joint College-Minor Programs (JCMP), co-branded by NACB and IAEBM. In this program, NACB member universities play an essential role in shaping the curriculum, thereby offering their students expanded access to high-quality business education options.
Our partnership also extends to shared governance and administration. Outside of NACB’s annual conference season, much of the organization’s daily administration and operational responsibilities are managed in coordination with IAEBM’s executive team and staff. This collaborative model enhances efficiency, supports our core missions, and strengthens our mutual commitment to excellence and innovation in business education.
